QC Material standards

Therefore all of the products we purchase are from market leading suppliers which have the appropriate standards and certification for both quality and material.

CE Marking

As a supplier to manufacturers of PVCu windows and doors we have some concerns about information being passed to manufacturers regarding EN 14351 and CE Marking.

Therefore we have gathered all relevant quality standards and dangerous substances information from our key suppliers showing conformity to EN 10346:2009 and EN 10327:2004. (These are available on request).

When looking into EN 14351, it is not product specific; it is an umbrella standard that covers the performance characteristics of windows and doors, regardless of material. Therefore EN 14351 does not quote every applicable standard or material. The relevant material specific standard for UPVC windows and doors is BS 7412:2007;

Section 5.3 Reinforcement states:


Where metal reinforcement is used it shall be manufactured from one of the following metals:

Mild steel sheet, hot-dip zinc coated, conforming to BS EN 10327:2004, coating designation Z275. This type of reinforcement shall only be used in profiles or systems designed and sealed so that no exterior moisture can come into contact with the reinforcement.

The materials we use in our production meet with these standards and are therefore perfectly acceptable for use in the manufacturing process of PVCu windows and doors.
